POTASSIUM SULPHATE
Product:POTASSIUM SULPHATE (PURE)

CAS: 7778-80-5

Formula: K2SO4

M.W.: 174.26

Packing : 25/50 Kg HD Bags with inside liner

Applications of Di Potassium Phosphate Anhydrous:

  • The dominant use of potassium sulphate is as a fertilizer. K2SO4 does not contain chloride, which can be harmful to some crops. Potassium sulphate is commonly used in the agriculture industry as a fertilizer for sensitive crops such as flowers, fruits & vegetables, tobacco, turf & ornamentals, among others. Use of potassium sulphate as a fertilizer results in improved quality of agricultural produce, enhanced nutritional value of fruits & vegetables, and is a nitrogen-free source of potassium. Crops that are less sensitive may still require potassium sulphate for optimal growth if the soil accumulates chloride from irrigation water.
  • The crude salt is also used occasionally in the manufacture of glass. Potassium sulphate is also used as a flash reducer in artillery propellant charges. It reduces muzzle flash, flareback and blast overpressure.
  • It is sometimes used as an alternative blast media similar to soda in soda blasting as it is harder and similarly water-soluble.
